Are the detritus to be waded through

I have a newfound appreciation of those
Little skittle pills that light up the night
In these blown out eyes
Because I’ve been love high for months before
And I’m still reeling from the withdrawal
When my heart decides to close itself
While aching to be open much at the same time
Paradoxes cannot curse me in this state of nirvana
Be it medication or intoxication
Though nothing is quite as real as being saturated
With emotions so blissfully overflowing even
If they are the product of hyperactive glands

Like the ectoplasm of too much desire
That a thousand showers cannot even begin to
